Uganda Refugee News - September 2024

Welcome to the 57th edition of URN covering publications and news from September 2024

I know working in this area can be super tough but I also know that its rewarding and important and, many of us are lucky enough to able to do this work as a result of our birth/education/a-n-other privilege. This was brought home starkly to me when reading one of the posts in the newsletter below and read this quote:

“While you were busy getting your first professional years of experience, I was busy surviving”.

I wanted to pull it out to share it as a kind reminder that no matter your professional experience you only ever know part of the solution and this is why it's so important to always work with refugees. Stepping off my soapbox now ... :)

Thank you to those who are sharing their resources and please remember that submissions are always welcome via our email - ugandarefugeenews@gmail.com
