Journal of International Migration and Integration - (pay for access) - The Environmental Aspects of Refugee Crises: Insights from South Asia, Middle East, and Sub-Saharan Africa - Survival is the only priority of refugees and the hosting nations are often bound to address the problem of refugee crises within a short period of time without any proper planning. As a result, related environmental aspects remain overlooked until the refugees and host population begin to suffer from the consequences of the resultant degradation. This review is the first-ever attempt to develop comprehensive insights into the environmental impacts of refugees in South Asia, Middle East, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
